Death Thing is irreverent, gruesome, dark, and funny. It is social commentary taken to a new level of paranoia. It is nightmare on paper (screen) that you cannot stop reading. Hilbert’s words are to the point, minimal, and direct. He doesn’t waste his time with any flowery language. What you see is what you get, and what you get is a fast moving narrative that will make you laugh, cringe, and think twice about getting in your car to go get a hamburger. Good read.
